Shipping

I placed an order but haven't heard anything

After placing your order, you'll receive a confirmation email right away. If you order on a business day before 16:00, we'll process your order the same day. Once your order has been shipped, you'll receive a shipping confirmation. You won't receive any updates in between — that's normal.

How long does delivery take?

We ship from Farnell's warehouses. Processing time is usually 1 to 3 business days. If you order before 16:00, the following average shipping days apply:

  • Monday order → shipped Wednesday
  • Tuesday order → shipped Thursday
  • Wednesday order → shipped Friday
  • Thursday order → shipped Monday
  • Friday to Sunday order → shipped Wednesday

Ordering batteries or chemicals? Processing time may be slightly longer due to transport regulations.

We ship primarily via PostNL within the Benelux.

Returns

Returning a product

You can return a product within 14 days of receipt. The product must be complete and, where reasonably possible, in its original packaging.

For loose components and electronic parts, we ask you to be extra careful. Many parts are supplied in protective or sealed packaging, for example due to ESD sensitivity, moisture sensitivity or safety regulations. Only open the packaging if necessary to assess the product. We recommend using the datasheet first to verify you have the right component.

If a product has been used, damaged or is incomplete, this may affect the refund amount.

Want to return something? Email servicedesk@sinuss.nl with your order number, what you want to return and the invoice. After our confirmation, you can send the product back. Return shipping costs are at your expense. Make sure to send it with tracking — if it gets lost or damaged in transit, that's your responsibility.

Did you receive free shipping and does your order total fall below the free shipping threshold after the return? Then the shipping costs may be deducted from your refund.

Received a defective or wrong product?

Check your order immediately upon receipt. Is a product damaged, defective or incorrectly delivered? Let us know as soon as possible via servicedesk@sinuss.nl. We'll look into it and sort it out for you.

Exceptions

Some products cannot or can only partially be returned. This includes specially ordered items, hazardous materials such as chemicals, or products whose packaging cannot simply be opened for safety or protective reasons.

Refund

Once we've received your return, we'll inspect it. We'll then let you know whether the return has been approved and process the refund. This will be via the same payment method you used to place the order.

Please allow up to 14 days for processing.

Warranty

What warranty do you offer?

Finished products are covered by statutory warranty. This means you have the right to a product that works as you would normally expect.

Is a product defective? Contact us and we'll assess the situation and find the right solution.

For loose components and electronic parts — such as resistors, capacitors, ICs and batteries — it's sometimes more complex. After soldering, assembly or use in a circuit, it's not always possible to determine the cause of a defect. Always report the issue to us. We'll assess together what's possible and contact the manufacturer or supplier where needed.

Als u bij ons een bestelling plaatst dan ontvangt u hier een bevestiging van. Als uw bestelling op een werkdag voor 16.00 is geplaatst, zal deze dezelfde dag nog in behandeling worden genomen.

Als uw bestelling verwerkt en verzonden is krijg u hiervan bericht.

Tussen het bestellen en de verwerking worden er geen berichten meer verstuurd.

At the moment we are dealing with several aspects that influence our delivery time:

COVID-19 - Supply is slower and irregular

Brexit / EU Legislation – We receive a large proportion of our orders from the UK.

The customs clearance procedures for outside the EU have changed. This change means that our carrier has an additional processing time of 1-2 business days.

Our processing time now averages between 1-3 business days to ship your order. If an item is “in stock” on our website, then that item is in one of the warehouses. Items from different warehouses need to be shipped as one package which costs extra time at this time.

Please note that our carrier also needs 1-2 business days to deliver your order to you, the total processing time from ordering to delivery is therefore 2-5 working days.

Our customer service is currently busy and we get a lot of questions about the status of orders.

Due to the longer delivery and processing times, it is normal that your order will be with you between 2-5 working days.

We request you after 5 working days to contact us about the status of your order. 

Of course we keep a close eye on all our orders. If something goes wrong with your order, we will contact you so that we can work on a solution together.

We mainly send the packages with PostNL within the BeNeLux

Products

The product is not what I expected, can I return it? You may view your product as you would in the store. You can return your product within 14 days if it has not been used and in undamaged packaging. Components and parts can only be returned if the packaging is unopened.

Extensive datasheets are available for components and parts, on the basis of which you can decide whether you have the right component. You are therefore not allowed to open the sealed packaging to view and assess the product, then the right to return expires due to packaging requirements for semiconductors, for example.

Who pays the return costs? The costs for the return are for the account of the customer. Are you returning the product yourself? Then the risk when returning it is for you. This means that you are responsible if the product is lost or damaged during the return.

Have you not paid shipping costs and your total order amount is less than € 40.00 after returning? Then the shipping costs will be deducted from your credit.

After approval of your return, the return amount will be credited to your account within 14 days.

We provide a 2 year warranty on all our end products. Do you have a finished product that is defective? Please let us know asap so that we can provide the right solution.

Please note, a part or electronic component is not an end product and in principle has no warranty. After all, it cannot be verified whether the part has been applied correctly. In some cases, the product is very lenient on defective parts. Notify us of any defects. Then we can assess whether we can do something for you.
